Firstly, apologies for no link up post last week. If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen that we lost our beautiful cat Henry on January 2nd. I’ve been heartbroken since then and not feeling like blogging or being on social media. Almost two weeks on, it is getting easier, although I have my moments. I had planned on publishing a post last week looking back at the last 12 months, but I just didn’t have the energy or motivation to finish it. So, I decided to skip the weekly link up post for the first time since I started it eight years ago this month. I really didn’t like missing a week, but I never want to do anything half-hearted. I have now finished that post and will publish it tomorrow.

Just before Christmas I was invited to collaborate with StyleWe and chose, amongst other pieces, this standout letter print trouser suit. (You all know how I love a trouser suit!) My first day back at work on Friday was the perfect opportunity to wear it and it certainly prompted some comments!

This letter print trouser suit ticks all the boxes for me: it’s colourful, features a bold print and, well…it’s a trouser suit!

One of the things that can be tricky when ordering online, especially from somewhere you haven’t bought from before, is sizing. There are measurements for each individual item on the website, and going on those, I selected size small in both the jacket and trousers. I’m usually a UK size 10 and the fit is great. The trousers have an elasticated section in the back so there is some leeway. The fabric is medium weight, but with a roll neck jumper underneath and a faux fur coat over the top, I was plenty warm enough, even in the zero degree chill.
