I think we can all agree that outfit repeating is a good thing, right? Well, I seem to have taken it a step further by wearing the same outfit AND accessories in the same place! I wore this orange maxi dress, hat, sunglasses and sandals in the Museu Quinta Das Cruzes last October. In fact, after looking closely I can see that I also wore the same ring, earrings and necklace! Well, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! (Different bag though).

A tried and tested holiday outfit formula!

In last week’s post I wore the pink version of this dress – also its second outing in Madeira after first wearing it last August. You could say I’ve found a holiday outfit formula! (I may have to rest them for the next trip.) On what was our last full day of the holiday we walked into the centre of Funchal and then visited the Museu Quinta Das Cruzes on the way back. Last year we only walked around the gardens, but this time we actually went inside. There are a lot of taxidermied animals and birds…not everyone’s cup of tea! I shot some videos that I’ll make into a TikTok when I get around to it (I promise it won’t just be stuffed creatures!).

There are so many beautiful locations in Funchal to take photos – flowers are everywhere. The moderate subtropical climate means it’s like spring all year round. The lowest temperature ever recorded is 7.4C/45.3F, but it’s generally in the high teens to low twenties. That’s my Goldilocks temperature range! (Perfect for floaty maxi dresses too!)
