My obsession with colourful suits and co-ords continues! I’d had my eye on this trousers and shirt duo for a while and was quick to snap it up when it went on sale. In fact, I really wanted the blazer in this print but that wasn’t included in the sale at first. But then a few days ago I noticed it had been reduced too…so I’ve ordered that too!

The lightweight recycled polyester is ideal for summer and I can swap the shirt for a vest or T-shirt when it’s really warm. I have lots of pink and orange tops to pair with these trousers, which I can also wear under the jacket when it arrives (fingers crossed it fits!). This satin floral print co-ord will be great for holidays as it weighs next to nothing but isn’t see-through. The trousers have an elasticated waist, making them perfect for travelling in.

I’ve teamed the co-ord with a hot pink bag and chunky sandals for a fun, playful look. It feels like I’m wearing pyjamas and slippers…if only all outfits were this comfortable!

Life lately

It’s been (another) busy week! It was Isobel’s 14th birthday yesterday which was preceded by a weekend of fun activities. On Saturday I took her and three friends trampolining which looked tremendous fun (I’m not sure my back could cope with it though!) On Sunday I took her and the band tenpin bowling, then they came back to ours for pizza. Yesterday I baked a vegan chocolate cake, which for once, wasn’t a total disaster! Isobel starts air cadets tomorrow, following an open evening last Friday. She wants to be a pilot so this will give her some valuable experience. One of her birthday presents from us is a trial flying lesson which she’s taking at the end of the month…I’m excited and nervous in equal measures! It doesn’t seem so long ago that she was a toddler!
