I’m back with more frills! In yesterday’s Style Not Age post I wore the pink version of this top. I bought them from my favourite shop in Funchal – Dona Hortensia – that always has something I can’t resist. For about 25 euros they were excellent value for money. I don’t wear much black lately but I love the contrast of the pearls. Pairing it with a bright colour makes the pearls and dramatic frill sleeves stand out even more.
Bum-lifting jeans
These pink jeans are a new addition to my wardrobe. The brand Freddy invited me to collaborate with them on Instagram and sent me these jeans (their choice). I probably wouldn’t have chosen pink but I’m surprised how much I like them. If you’re not familiar with the brand, they make the most amazing bum-lifting, figure-hugging jeans. (Carol Vorderman is a fan.) These candy pink skinny jeans combine Freddy’s WR.UP® shaping technology with 100% organic denim. The 4 way stretch (vs traditional denim that only has a vertical stretch), makes these jeans incredibly comfortable. The strategically placed seams that sit under the buttocks give extra lift while the zip at the front creates a nice clean line.

I did consider going full on Barbiecore with these jeans and teaming them with a pink top and shoes, but maybe I’ll save that for when the Barbie movie comes out on my birthday! Neutral shoes help to create a leg- lengthening effect, because let’s face it, pink skinny jeans are not exactly forgiving! I would prefer it if the outline of the pockets didn’t show through, but on the plus side there’s no camel toe, to my surprise. All in all I’m very impressed with these jeans. The black faux leather ones look fabulous. Freddy also offers different styles of jeans, activewear and maternity trousers.
Would you wear pink denim? What’s your favourite style of jeans?
