How’s your week going so far? I started the week with a scratchy throat and cold – just as the weather took a turn for the worse. The lovely sunshine has taken a hike and I had to dig out a thick jumper yesterday morning! I got up early because Isobel was meant to be flying with the air cadets but it was abandoned due to rain and wind.
Styling my preloved Lucy and Yak trousers put a smile on my face
One thing that can always brighten up my day is fun and colourful clothing! Styling my preloved Lucy and Yak trousers put a smile on my face. I’ve been wanting a pair of funky trousers from Lucy and Yak for ages, but I wasn’t sure if they would suit me. I didn’t even know for sure what size I’d need, but when I saw these on Vinted for a very reasonable price, I thought it was worth the chance. I was very relieved when I did the zip up (always a nervous moment with a Vinted purchase!).
I’m really happy with these trousers and I know I’ll wear them lots
I was originally planning to wear another Vinted purchase with these trousers – a fun T-shirt with a watermelon motif. But that just didn’t look right, the proportions were all wrong. Then I remembered that I’d bought this Scotch & Soda utility shirt from The Bias Cut’s sale a few months ago. This is a much better style and fit for these trousers. I tried red trainers but they made my legs look a bit stumpy, so I opted for my wedge espadrilles instead. They create a more polished look and work better with the tapered leg fit. I added my gold crossbody bag to pick up on my gold jewellery and completed the look with my pink sunglasses. I’m really happy with these trousers and I know I’ll wear them lots. In fact, I think I may buy another pair of Lucy and Yaks in the future!
