Back to reality! The decorations are gone and the sequins have been retired for another festive season. It’s probably too soon to think about spring outfits but I can still wear floral prints and bright colours! We had a decent covering of snow at the start of the week, although rain has now washed it away. The cats had never been out in snow before and they didn’t quite know what to make of it, they kept shaking their paws. I really wanted to go out in it myself but not being able to wear boots (on both feet anyway) meant I couldn’t. I’ve had a cough and cold, so going out in freezing temperatures was probably not a good idea. Maybe we’ll get more snow before the end of winter so I can build a snowman!
The striped cardigan and floral print top share similar colours, so the pattern mixing works
These photos were taken a few weeks ago, so no snow to be seen. I was going somewhere that day (I can’t remember where), but it was just before my operation so I was busy shopping and running errands. I bought this cardigan back in the summer when Dancing Leopard had a flash sale. It was only £10, which I thought was a bargain. The striped cardigan and floral print top share similar colours, so the pattern mixing works. Along with the pink flower motif Converse trainers, the whole look does have a certain spring feel about it. Well, there’s no harm in looking forward is there? Apparently, bright colours is one of the key trends for spring (hardly cutting edge, I know), which I’m very happy about. I’ll be swerving the pantone colour of the year though; cloud dancer just doesn’t deliver the necessary dopamine hit for me!
What trends are you looking forward to for spring?
