Autumn Hues – October’s Style Not Age

It’s the last Monday of the month which means it’s time for October’s Style Not Age instalment. Hilda took inspiration from nature and chose the theme of Autumn Hues. I certainly didn’t have any difficulty with this prompt, as I have lots of clothes in autumnal shades. My starting point for this outfit was the rust blazer from Jenerique*, which is a recent addition. The warm brown hue is perfect for this time of year and works well with lots of pieces in my wardrobe. I can’t find this colour on the website anymore but there is one in a lovely shade of olive.

This whole outfit is made up of classic pieces in autumn hues that will serve me well for years to come

The blazer is a medium weight fabric, so it’s great for layering. I could wear a roll neck jumper underneath and still fit my big camel coat over it. For a more formal look, I’ve chosen this horse print shirt by Salamander Shirts (first seen here with jeans) and a pair of check trousers. Salamander Shirts are fantastic quality and very reasonably priced too. If you haven’t already, do check them out. I’ve featured them lots here on the blog before. I’ve had these trousers for years – I bought them from a Marks and Spencer outlet for £7 and I’ve worn them so much. Let’s see how my friends styled their autumn hues…

Gail has teamed a peach Paul Costelloe jacket (pre-loved) with a brown corduroy skirt from M&S (current). Her belt from Kettlewell and shoes from Joe Browns finish off the look perfectly. Head to Is This Mutton for all the details.

Hilda is staying cosy in a gorgeous cardigan, complimented with a tan bag and animal print shoes. Visit Over the Hilda to find out more.

Jacqui has shopped her wardrobe for this chic outfit, combining faux leather culottes, brown silk shirt and faux leather jacket. Hop over to Mummabstylish to catch up with Jacqui.

Anna’s jacket and top are both from Vinted. The fabulous flared trousers, bag and boots are old. Head over to Anna’s Island Style to read more.

That’s all for this month’s Style Not Age, we’ll be back with another instalment on the last Monday in November! Hope yo see you again on Wednesday for the link up!
