Everyday Fashion For Spring From Very + Style With a Smile Link Up

I love seeing all the new season fashion at this time of year; winter is behind us and we can look forward to lighter evenings and milder temperatures. That said, we’ve had some very changeable weather lately; one day last week we started with snow in the morning and had bright blue skies and sunshine in the afternoon. Well they say that March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. This year is proving no different. All of this requires careful outfit planning, but a few wardrobe staples will help you navigate these choppy sartorial waters. So, today I’m sharing my everyday fashion for spring from Very.

Quilted coat with a hood

One thing that’s a Spring essential is a water-repellent coat with a hood. I absolutely love this reversible navy coat from the Regatta x Orla Kiely range. It’s so practical in every aspect: the fact that it’s reversible is like having two coats in one, and it has deep pockets on both sides. You could wear it on the plain navy side to walk the dog, then turn it around for a coffee date or commute to work. It’s not too thick either, which is perfect for the fluctuating spring temperatures. I’m wearing a size 10 and it’s plenty big enough to wear over a jumper. I’m sure I’ll be getting lots of wear from it!

Blazers

Blazers are year round wardrobe staples, but they become particularly useful in spring. Whether you team them with jeans and boots/trainers for a smart casual look, or with tailored trousers for the office, they will be among your hardest working pieces. This blue double breasted boucle jacket is from the V by Very line. The quality and fit are superb. I love the gold buttons which really elevate it. I’ve teamed the blazer with mid wash jeans, white boots and a floral print top for a fresh spring look.

This bright blue textured blazer by Joe Browns is another fabulous addition to my spring wardrobe. It has a classic notch lapel neckline and contrast collar. I’ve stayed with the blue theme, teaming the blazer with dark denim and a matching beret. It would look great paired with trousers in a contrasting colour too, such as mustard or green.

Maxi Dress

Apart from on holiday, I haven’t worn a dress for ages, but this Joe Browns Into the Woodland maxi has convinced me to ditch the trousers every now and then. Honestly, the fit couldn’t be any better, it feels amazing on. The woodland animal print just drew me in as soon as I saw it so I’m delighted that it fits perfectly. It has beautiful shirred cuffs and ties at the waist which fasten at the back to cinch it in. Dresses that you can adapt according to the weather are a brilliant addition to your spring wardrobe, and they will also see you through the autumn months too. I’m wearing my long stretchy boots from Vivaia for warmth and comfort, but when the weather is warmer I’ll swap them for sandals. I’ve added a squirrel necklace, fox ring and owl earrings to keep up the woodland theme.

Luxurious loungewear

A big part of my everyday wardrobe is loungewear; most bloggers spend a lot of time at home working on the laptop and that means comfy clothing is a must. That doesn’t mean we have to skimp on style though! This Chelsea Peers velour button up set is so soft and comfortable…and really stylish too, don’t you think? And you can’t beat an animal print for a touch of glamour too!

What do you think of my everyday fashion for spring picks? Which outfit is your favourite! I’d love to know what you think!
