One of the things I like most about winter (and there aren’t many) is wearing faux fur coats. On the rare days when it’s not raining I like to make the most of it. Swapping my raincoat for a dopamine hit of brightly coloured furry warmth lifts my spirits. This rainbow faux fur coat fits that bill perfectly!
I wore this outfit to work, prompting lots of comments about the coat. Although everyone there is used to my colourful combinations, I think even this surprised some people. Me and Pete were working the same hours so we went for lunch together. Afterwards, we took these photos by the Lowry Theatre on the way back to the office. We ate at Banana Tree and the food was delicious! (I had a vegan pad thai.) I’m amazed I managed not to spill any on my clothes like I usually do!
If you need something to cheer you up in the depths of winter I highly recommend a brightly-coloured statement coat!
I wanted the rest of the outfit to be colourful without competing with the coat. The pastel pink trousers and matching bag pick out the pink stripes in the coat without overpowering it. Last December I wore the coat with this same bright yellow jumper, but with lilac trousers. That’s the beauty of wearing something multi-coloured, you can play around with all different colour combinations. There are so many others I want to try!
This spectacular rainbow faux fur coat is currently on sale at Jayley for £100 (was originally £336). And I’ve also seen one for sale on Vinted, as well as the gilet version. If you need something to cheer you up in the depths of winter I highly recommend a brightly-coloured statement coat!
