We all have our favourite brands, the ones we return to time and time again. For me, one of those is The Hippie Shake. The retro prints and styles make a statement without straying into fancy dress territory. (Well, at least I don’t think so!). I’ve bought many things from them, including my all time favourite suit. When the team behind The Hippie Shake announced they were taking an extended break and held a massive sale, I couldn’t resist another purchase! I’d had my eye on this retro print paisley suit for a while, so a generous discount gave me the kick to finally buy it.
Previously, I’d never been much of a fan of paisley but there was something about this suit that caught my eye. The trousers are quite a thin fabric, so not really suitable for very cold weather. However, it hasn’t been too cold lately so I seized the opportunity to wear them. It just so happened that a few months ago I bought this Boopala blouse on Vinted. The colour of the blouse picks out the bright blue in the paisley print and contrasts nicely with the rust brown. I remembered that I had a pair of tan ankle boots to compliment the faux croc crossbody bag. I’m getting brave now and venturing away from trainers occasionally! It’s hat season so I completed the look with a burnt orange baker boy cap.
