I’m a big fan of co-ords and trouser suits because they make for easy and fuss-free styling. Co-ords are great for summer and holidays, whether they include shorts, skirts or trousers. With some strategic packing you can mix and match to make multiple outfits. Brightly coloured trouser suits are my outfit of choice for work. Plus, they have the added benefit of being able to pair the jacket with jeans for a smart casual look.
I’ve made this outfit by splitting up a co-ord and a suit to make a new outfit
We’re at that time of year when the temperature can fluctuate a lot throughout the day, so having a jacket to layer over a thin top is a good idea. I’ve made this outfit by splitting up a co-ord and a suit to make a new outfit. The top is part of a co-ord from Scotch and Soda that I bought years ago. I acquired the jacket as part of a collaboration with Very last year and went on to buy the matching trousers. I’ve worn the suit with a lime green blouse and a retro print shirt with pink tones. The fabric is a soft jersey with some stretch to it, so it’s a great option for pairing with jeans.
Barrel leg jeans are now definitely my favourite style!
After I bought my first pair of barrel leg jeans in a mid blue shade, I became a covert to the style. I recently picked these lighter wash ones up in the River Island sale and they are really comfortable to wear. I’ve already worn my darker pair five times on the blog, most recently for the latest Thrifty Six challenge. Barrel leg jeans are now definitely my favourite style! It’s still warm enough for sandals so I’m currently living in these ones from Strive, which are a couple of years old now but still going strong. My Teddy Blake bag matches the jacket so well that I often wear them together. It’s a great size for work because it holds all my stuff and everything is easy to find in it. And it has a detachable shoulder strap for when I need to go hands free.
Do you like to split up co-ords and mix and match to make different outfits?
